No Safe Harbor
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Hey everyone!
First off, thank you so much for checking out my game! This has been a passion project of mine for some time now, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with you. I’ve put a lot of effort into crafting a unique tower defense experience, and your feedback means the world to me. Whether you're here to test it out, break the game (please don’t break it too hard lol), or just have some fun, I really appreciate you giving it a shot!
Game Overview:
In this tower defense game, you won’t be worrying about lives—your only goal is to protect your treasure. Enemies will try to steal it and drag it back to where they came from, and if they succeed, it’s game over. But if you take them down before they escape, the chest stays put, shifting the battlefield dynamically. Instead of earning money per enemy defeat, you’ll need to gather resources to build and upgrade your towers. Balancing your time between defending and resource collection is key to survival. With no set enemy waves, an evolving battlefield, and strategic tower placement, every game plays out differently.
Additional Info:
There's a short tutorial level in the beginning that should teach you everything you need to know. Audio settings are in the options page. For more in-game information, check out the "Game Info" page in the Main Menu, it'll show you more about the towers and enemies in the game. Good luck!

My thoughts: would be good to have some kind of a notification like "chest has been taken" when on the second island just to know that they took it. I ecountered a bug where the pirates instead of taking the chest to their ship instead push the chest back to its place and then get stuck at the end of the path.
(In my opinion) the attacks should be separated into waves and the map should inform you whether the wave has started or not. there should also be a total number of waves displayed somewhere.
Like the music a lot, the 8 bit/pixel style is deffinitely nostalgic which makes the game look well in a way, kinda like mario.
An interesting idea could be to allow the character you play as shoot as well which would make the decision making between eco and defense even more complex .
Overall, preatty good for a early version of the game, remember though that tower defense games are very popular making it a quite a competition to create something unique but i think this has potential.
Well, the spyglass allows you to see if the chest has been taken. It’s up to the player to check consistently enough that they can see what’s going on on the other island. That’s now the second time someone’s encountered that bug… I’ll try and have that fixed by the next update. “Waves” come out at every 30 second interval, but the idea is that it’s intended to be a continuous attack. Literally next update or two I’m adding a slingshot for the player. That’s been a plan for a while now. And thank you for playing!! Im glad you liked the music, that took me a while to figure out. Finally, I’m aware how competitive this genre is and I’m hoping that I can differentiate my game from other TD games enough while still keeping it fun to really blow it up.
